Lakbay-1 at STI Cubao

Lakbay-1, an experimental mobile robot project, was presented again by Michael Balcos, under Malaya Digital, to some students at the Science and Technology Institute (STI), Cubao. For information on Lakbay-1, please see the Personal Projs. page. STI's first two schools were inaugurated in August 21, 1983. It offered basic programming courses then. Now, it offers basic (pre-elementary, primary and secondary) and tertiary education.

Lakbay-1 at the QCPU

Lakbay-1, an experimental mobile robot project, was presented again by Michael Balcos, under Malaya Digital, to some students at the Quezon City Polytechnic University (QCPU). For information on Lakbay-1, please see the Personal Projs. page. QCPU was established in March 1, 1994 by virtue of City Ordinance No. SP 171 under the name Quezon City Skills Training Center. In 2005, QCPU started to offer degree programs. It's vision is to be "a premier institution of professional, technological education and training, and a progressive partner of nation building."

Lakbay-1, was presented by Michael Balcos with Malaya Digital (formerly Slackware Linux Users Group, Philippines) in Bluepoint's Software Freedom Day (SFD) 2008 celebration at the National Computer Center. It was also covered by Net25's Convergence TV program. For information on Lakbay-1, please see the Personal Projs. page. SFD is an annual and worldwide effort for the advocacy of Free / Open Source Software (FOSS). Bluepoint celebrates this event with free seminars on FOSS related subjects.
